- 3 / 5By j spain GreeneWhile we have enjoyed our visits to Hess in the past for their simple sandwiches made with good bread & German meats, the coffee and the pastries - our latest visit to the restaurant was disappointing.
Service in the dining room was very poor. I thought the servers didn't like us because they kept ignoring our table, such that we didn't buy any pastries...but when we went to check out, 2 groups of senior citizen-regulars were complaining about poor service as well. The fresh rolls and breads are amazing. The work staff are always so friendly and helpful. Very authentic in all aspects. The bakery is so wonderful! A must for sweets and treats. Never disappointed.
